Family medicine is a medical specialty devoted to delivering comprehensive health care to people of all ages, "from the cradle to the grave." It is characterized by continuity of care for the individual and the family across all ages, sexes, diseases, and parts of the body. The aim of Premier Family Care is to provide personal, comprehensive and continuing care for the individual, family and the community.
Wellness Care for Children
Wellness care for children up to age 18:
- All well child exams. Schedule is as follows: 3-5 days, 2 weeks, 2 months, 4 months, 6 months, 9 months, 1 year, 15 months, 18 months, 2 years, then yearly.
- Preschool and Kindergarten Physcials
- Athletic and Pre-Participation Sports Physicals
- Vision Screening
- Anticipatory Guidance
- Developmental Screening
Wellness Care for Adults
Wellness care for adults age 18 and over:
- Routine cervical cancer screening and pelvic exams
- Routine clinical breast exams and scheduling of mammograms
- Routine prostate exams and blood tests for cancer screening
- Testicular exams as cancer screening
- Routine colorectal cancer screening-beginning at age 50
- Yearly skin exams and cancer screening
- Periodic blood pressure screening
- Heart health and vascular screening for hypertension and high cholesterol
- Smoking cessation
- Osteoporosis counseling and screening
Lab & X-ray Services
As a convenience to our patients, Premier Family Care has on site laboratory and x-ray capabilities. Full service lab and xray are available if needed and for most visits, all the services you need can be provided "under one roof."
Lab Results
On routine labs we generally only contact the patient if there is an abnormal value or a test comes back suspicious. Patients are always welcome to call if they have not heard from our office to confirm their results were satisfactory. Most lab results are back in office within 2-3 business days.

Laceration Repair and Fracture Treatment
Sometimes life is TOUGH! If that happens and you end up with a bloody cut or possible broken bone, Premier Family Care is here for you.
One quick call and we will have you come in to have that laceration repaired and that broken bone splinted or casted. Premier Family Care keeps minor emergency supplies on hand and all suturing/casting is done in house. Dr. Jackson has been trained in laceration repair, as well as proper casting techniques. We look forward to helping you during the tough times.
Minor Surgery and Skin Treatment
Sometimes a suspicious mole or scaly area develops on your skin. Dr. Jackson is trained and capable of treatment of most dermatological problems. This might range from simple application of creams or lotions, to cryotherapy with liquid nitrogen, to biopsy of the lesion for the pathologist to study. All these procedures are performed in house and under local anesthetic. The necessary samples are then sent to pathology and patient will be contacted as soon as results come in.
